campsiteCamping at Wanagarren Nature Reserve is being trialed with 15 campsites South along the 4 WD coastal track. Jurien Bay Marine Park lies adjacent to Wanagarren Nature Reserve and Nambung National Park.

Camping fees per night $8.00 per adult / $6.00 per valid Australian Concession / $3.00 per child. These fees assist in conservation and park management, including the improvement of visitor services and facilities.

Conditions of Entry

CxVyvYMUsAA 6u7Chemical toilets must accompany each camping group. (Available for purchase from Cervantes and Jurien Bay businesses). Chemical toilets are to be emptied at approved Dump Ezi points.

NO DOGS ALLOWED - 1080 BAITS PRESENT.

Camping

Camping is only permitted in designated camping areas. Directional signage will guide you to the campsites

Fires

Fires are permitted only in designated fire pits at campsites between May - October. You must bring your own firewood. Collection within Nature Reserves is an offence. Fire risk increases during summer - be alert.

Be Prepared

There is no fresh water available - ensure you have adequate drinking water.  Take emergency recovery equipment - Recovery of bogged vehicles is expensive and must be organised and paid for by the operator of the vehicle. Avoid the likelihood of tick bites be applying appropriate insect repellent. Bees may be present during summer 

Wannagarren 4 WD Track

Not suitable for towing trailers or caravans. Expect overgrown vegetation, narrow tracks, soft sand, washouts, deep potholes and limited space to turn around. The condition of the track can change without warning . Only high-clearance four wheel drive vehicles with low range capability can safely drive the soft sandy tracks.Reduce Tyre pressure. Prepare for driving on soft sand by deflating your vehicles Tyre's. Lower driving speeds (under 40 km)are essential when driving with deflated Tyre's. Engage four wheel drive. Make sure four wheel drive is engaged at all times on sandy tracks. Some vehicles have hubs on the wheels that need to be locked for four wheel drive to be engaged. Oncoming traffic - Be aware of oncoming traffic, especially when approaching bends and corners. Stay on Tracks Keep to the marked tracks. Sand dunes are easily damaged causing loss of native plants and animal life. Reinflate you tyre's when you return to the sealed road, disengage 4 WD and reinflate Tyre's.
